Morning Intercessions

God of mercy and justice, on this day of prayer and remembrance for the victims of the terrorist attacks twenty years ago we pray: Heed our cries for help, O God.

Inspire ways to help the healing of emotional and psychological wounds of September 11, 2001.

Heed our cries for help, O God.

Strengthen credibility and trust in Homeland Security and national intelligence.

Heed our cries for help, O God.

Help us to speak the truth with courage and offer consolation to those who mourn.

Heed our cries for help, O God.

Our Father . . .

May the peace of God which surpasses all understanding stand guard over our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen.
