Morning Intercessions

God of wonder, on this day we celebrate the holy and joy-filled encounter you inspired between Mary and Elizabeth. Enliven us by that same spirit as we pray: Holy God, hear our prayer.

Help us to believe in your promise of salvation and to share with others the wonders you have worked in our lives.

     Holy God, hear our prayer.

Inspire all countries to find constructive and nonviolent ways to end violence, racism, and destruction of our planet.

     Holy God, hear our prayer.

Further efforts to provide for the temporal, emotional, and mental needs of veterans and their families.

     Holy God, hear our prayer.

Our Father . . .

May the Holy Spirit enlighten us to recognize Christ’s hidden presence, that we may rejoice with Mary in God’s saving power all our days. Amen.
